Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann refuted speculation about disagreements with his colleague Lionel Messi and said he could not do anything about negative comments about the Argentine player from his former agent and his uncle.
Griezmann’s former agent Eric Olhatz spoke earlier this month. He said that things had become difficult for the French player in Barcelona due to Messi’s exaggerated dominance of things, while the player’s uncle said it was not easy to play in the same team with the best player in the world six times.
Messi responded last week and said he was tired of being blamed for any Barcelona issue, while Griezmann said he could not be silent any longer.
Movistar quoted Griezmann as saying: I have always found comments for a long time, and now the time has come for me to say enough. My agent is my sister, but she does not speak, and neither does the parents, so no one speaks. Eric offered his opinion, but this can cause many problems and doubts about my relationship with Messi. Lionel knows I have a lot of respect for him, and I’m learning from him.
“My uncle doesn’t know how things are in football.” A journalist wanted to get a sentence from him; I told Lionel that I couldn’t do anything with them. I am not talking to them.
