On Wednesday, the Competitions Committee of the Spanish Football Association decided to fine Lionel Messi for his compatriot Diego Armando Maradona.

The 33-year-old took off his shirt after scoring against Osasuna in the Spanish League. He dedicated his goal to the late legend Maradona and showed the Old Boys shirt in which Maradona played in 1993 with number 10, the same club in which the Barcelona star began his career.

And the competition committee imposed a fine of 600 euros on Messi, and Barcelona was fined 350 euros for the incident as well, according to the law of discipline, which prevents players from celebrating by taking off their shirts.
