According to an English press report, Belgian Kevin De Bruyne, the Manchester City star, is close to renewing his contract, which currently runs until the summer of 2022.

City officials want to secure their first star’s survival early, fearing Real Madrid and ParisSaint-Germain’s movements.

According to the British newspaper “The Guardian”, the talks between City and De Bruyne are going well, noting that the signing of the Belgian star (29 years) on a new contract, until the summer of 2025, is very soon.

The report indicated that De Bruyne’s new salary could reach 300,000 pounds a week.

De Bruyne had previously hinted at the possibility of leaving Manchester City if the penalty for banning the club from European participation for two seasons is confirmed before it is canceled.
