Boston Dynamics, which Hyundai recently announced its purchase from Japanese holding company SoftBank, has posted a New Year’s video featuring several robots on its YouTube channel.

The new Boston Dynamics commercial features two humanoid Atlas robots, the Spot robot equipped with a long-necked manipulator, and the Handle wheeled robot. In a three-minute video, robots dance extraordinary to the song “Do You Love Me?” by the band The Contours, which was included in the soundtrack to the film “Dirty Dancing”.

“Our whole crew got together to celebrate the start of what we hope will be a happier year: Happy New Year from all of us at Boston Dynamics.” – says the description of the video. Commentators suggested that in this way, robots in the future could celebrate the enslavement of humanity.

Recall that until recently, Boston Dynamics was engaged in developing several models of robots, periodically demonstrating their achievements on its YouTube channel, but the company did not sell robots. Just this year, Boston Dynamics launched the Spot robot, which can be purchased by companies from different countries. This robot can move almost anywhere a person is. The company proposes to use it, among other things, for monitoring and collecting data for compiling three-dimensional maps.
