Arsenal confirm its revival with four goals against West Bromwich Albion
Arsenal continued its renaissance to achieve its third successive victory by defeating its host West Bromwich Albion (4-0), this Saturday evening, in the 17th round of the English Premier League.
Arsenal opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, when Terni dribbled Furlong on the left side, before he fired with his right a curved ball that hugged the net.
Arsenal’s second goal came in the 28th minute, through a joint team game, which resulted in the ball reaching Lacazette, who passed it through the right-hand side towards Smith Row, to put the latter in front of Bukayo Saka, who followed her the net from a short distance.
Alexandre Lacazette missed a dangerous opportunity in the 55th minute when Ajayi stood in front of his attempt, but the French striker replaced it in the 60th minute, when he scored the third goal, as he followed a rebound from Ajayi’s body into the net.
Lacazette quickly added the fourth goal in the 64th minute, when he followed up with a cross from Kieran Tierney’s left.
Arsenal’s balance rose to 23 points, to rise to the 11th place, while West Bromwich stuck at 8 points in the 19th and penultimate place.
Tottenham easily defeats Leeds … and Son reaches his 100th goal
Tottenham won at home to Leeds United 3-0 during their match, today, Saturday, in the 16 round of the English Premier League.
Tottenham advanced with a goal scored by Harry Kane in the 29th minute from a penalty kick, and Heung Min Son added the second goal in the 43rd minute, and Toby Alderferlid added the third goal for Tottenham in the 50th minute. The match saw Tottenham’s Matt Duarte sent off in the second minute of the match’s stoppage time.
Tottenham raised its score to 29 points in third place, on goal difference against Leicester City and Everton, and Leeds United’s score stopped at 23 points in eleventh place.
Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park clinched their victory over Sheffield with two goals without Jeffrey Shloeb and Iberishy Eyes in the fourth and 45th minutes. The win brought Crystal to 22 points in 14th and Sheffield remained last with two points.
At Falmer Stadium, Brighton tied with Wolverhampton by three goals to score one point each. Brighton raised his score to 14 points in seventeenth place, compared to 22 points for Wolverhampton in thirteenth place. Brighton’s goals came from Aaron Connolly in the 13th minute, Niall Mobaye from a penalty kick in the 46th minute, and Louis Dink in the 70th minute.
Wolverhampton’s goals were scored by Roman Sayes in the 19th minute, Brighton player Dan Bourne, by mistake in his own net in the 34th minute, and Robin Neves from a penalty kick in the 45th minute.
