Man City hit Chelsea with three at Stamford Bridge

Manchester City has decided on the top of the 17th round of the English Premier League, beating host Chelsea, 3-1, at Stamford Bridge on Sunday night.

Man City opened the scoring in the 18th minute, after Gundogan received a pass from Foden at the edge of the penalty area, to strike a ground missile that hit the net.

Man City quickly added the second goal in the 21st minute, after De Bruyne passed a ball to Voden, unsupervised, to hit a direct ball that hit the net.

Man City took advantage of Chelsea’s defensive collapse after Sterling was alone in midfield until he reached the penalty area and was much behind with the return of the Blues defense, but he hit a ball that hit the post, and De Bruyne followed it with a shot that hit the net in the 34th minute, scoring the third goal.

Chelsea reduced the difference by scoring an honorary goal in the minute (90 + 2). After Odoi received a cross in the penalty area, to hit a direct ball that landed in the net, and the game ended with Man City winning 3-1.

With this result, Manchester City increased its score to 29 points in fifth place, while Chelsea was stuck at 26 points in eighth place.
