vBarcelona captain Lionel Messi scored two goals against Granada on Saturday, one of them from a free-kick.
According to the “Opta” statistics network, Messi raised his score of goals with Barcelona’s free-kicks to 48 goals, 37 of them in La Liga.
The network indicated that Messi surpassed his Portuguese opponent, Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 47 goals from free-kicks throughout his club career, including 32 goals from fixed balls.
Messi led Barca to victory over Granada 4-0, for the 18th round of La Liga, which is the top scorer in solo with 11 goals.
