Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has commented on his victory tonight on Wednesday against Brighton 0-1 in the 18th round of the English Premier League.

Guardiola told the BBC after the match: “We knew how difficult these matches were, especially since Brighton has a good mentality.”

He added: “We had a great performance in the first half and created a lot of chances, and after missing a chance in the second half, the opponent has improved.”

He continued: “We have to win these kinds of matches, and that’s a good lesson for us. I think all matches will be like today.”

Regarding his young star Phil Foden, who scored the winning goal today, he said: “He is still 20 years old, but look at his debut, the number of games he has played and the number of goals he has played. ‘he did compare to other big stars. ”

And he added: “(Foden) can play in two positions: in the middle and as an imaginary striker. He shows great intelligence in front of the goal, so he deserves to play.”
