Ajax tops, Real Madrid beats Barcelona in the most important teams exporting talent

The Dutch club Ajax topped the list of the most clubs in the world that supply the five major football leagues with players, while the second team of Real Madrid (Castilla) ranked fourth in this list issued by the Football Observatory of the International Center for Sports Studies.

The Observatory confirmed in its report today, Monday, that Ajax exported 22 players to the major leagues (England, Spain, Italy, Germany, and France), including players such as Frenkie de Jong who moved to Barcelona and Matias de Lichten who joined Juventus.

Portuguese club Benfica ranked second with 21 players, including Joao Felix, who moved to Atletico Madrid, while Austrian Red Bull Salzburg finished third with 20 players.

The second team for Real came in fourth place after 17 players exported to the major leagues, while Barcelona’s second team ranked 11th with 11 players.
