According to Spain’s “Difensa Central” website, Bayern Munich and Liverpool have contacted Real Madrid to find out more about the possibility of joining Brazilian defender Eder Miltiao.
Militao joined Real in the summer of 2019, from Portuguese Porto, for a record-breaking € 50million deal, but failed to deliver what was expected of him.
Militao’s ranking among Real Madrid defenders fell to 4th place, behind Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, and Nacho Fernandez, prompting him to consider leaving the team.
Bayern Munich is looking to recruit a new defender after confirming Austrian defender David Alaba’s departure at the end of the season after his contract expires, and the closest destination to him is Real Madrid.
And news of Real Madrid’s contract with Alaba contributed to Militao’s insistence on leaving the Merengues, as his chances of participating will be completely absent at the time.
As for Liverpool, they are suffering in the center of defense, following the injury of duo Virgil van Dyck and Joe Gomez, and the inability to provide the alternative at the same level, which has prompted coach Jurgen Klopp to rely on midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson as defenders.
