Bayern Munich qualified for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, after beating Chelsea 4-1 in the second leg of the final, to set a date for the quarter-finals with Barcelona, who beat Napoli, next Friday in the Portuguese capital Lisbon.
Bayern had beaten Chelsea in the first leg 3-0, which paved the way for a comfortable and easy qualification for the quarter-finals.
Robert Lewandowski advanced to Bayern from a penalty kick in the tenth minute, and Ivan Perisic strengthened Bayern’s lead by scoring the second goal in the 24th minute.
Tammy Abraham reduced the score by scoring a goal for Chelsea in the 44th minute, but Corentin Tolisso added Bayern’s third goal in the 76th minute.
In the 83rd minute, Lewandowski strengthened the Bavarian’s lead by scoring his personal second and fourth goal for his team.
Because of the lack of time after the tournament was suspended for 5 months as a result of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, the European Union of Football Associations (UEFA) took a decision to hold the quarter-final matches from 12 to 23 of this month in the Portuguese capital Lisbon, without an audience also with a one-off match system.
