Under the supervision of German coach Hans Flick, Lewandowski contributed to overcoming the difficult start for Bayern and crowning the Bavarian team in the eighth league title in a row and weeks before the end of the season, after fierce competition with the historical rival Borussia Dortmund.
Lewandowski outperformed players who leveled high with their clubs, such as Leipzig striker Timo Werner, Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, and fellow Erling Halland.
Lewandowski joined Bayern in the summer of 2014 from Dortmund, in a free transfer deal, participated in 283 games during which he scored 239 goals, and made 53 assists.
