CAF: President Ahmad Ahmad suffers from coronavirus

Ahmad Ahmad, the African Football Confederation (CAF) president, announced on Twitter on Friday that he had Covid-19.

“This morning, I tested positive # COVID19. I have mild symptoms, but I’m fine. All the people encountered have been notified for the moment in solitary confinement and at least 14 days. Take care of yourself and yours, ”the manager tweeted.

On Thursday, the confederation announced the postponement indefinitely of the semi-final return leg and the final of the African Champions League, scheduled for November 6, after having already been postponed. Many players, in particular from Moroccan club Raja Casablanca, had been infected.

At the same time, Ahmad Ahmad announced Wednesday that he would seek a second term at the African body’s head. CAF must hold its elective General Assembly on March 12, 2021, to appoint a president.
