Spanish football club Real Madrid announced today, Tuesday, the return of Carlo Ancelotti to train the club for a second term.
“Carlo Ancelotti will be the new coach of the first team for the next three seasons,” Real Madrid said in a brief statement.
Ancelotti will sign the new contract and it will be presented to the media on Wednesday.
The Italian coach, who previously coached Real Madrid between 2013 and 2015, won the Champions League title during his first term and will succeed Zinedine Zidane, who left office last month.
The 61-year-old Italian coach was leading the English club Everton this season.
The newspaper “Marca” close to the Spanish royal Ancelotti beat the list of other coaches such as Mauricio Pochettino and Antonio Conte and Raul Gonzalez of Castilla coach.
