The day after the Champions League final in Paris, there is a party in Madrid. First, the players are honored at the Almudena Cathedral, and after another stop at the Plaza del Cibeles, a big party is also planned at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

On Sunday evening, the Real Madrid players left the Bernabéu stadium to go to the Almudena Cathedral. There, Cardinal Carlos Osoro spoke with the players and the club’s management. The other stages of the victory march in the metropolis were the seat of the regional government of Madrid and the town hall. Thousands of fans are present in the streets where the merengue club bus passes. The highlight of the visit is a celebration with the fans around the monumental Cibeles fountain in the center of town, as is always the case when Real Madrid win. Here, the players traditionally thank the supporters for their support in many games.

Thousands of enthusiastic supporters were already waiting for Thibaut Courtois and his teammates at the Cibeles fountain to celebrate their team’s victory. The actual party will start at 10 p.m. at the Bernabéu stadium, which can accommodate more than 80,000 spectators. Each member of the club can enter for free. During this celebration, players will be honored individually and a large fireworks display is planned.
