Portuguese Turin Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has tested negative for coronavirus and may be released from isolation, his club said in a statement on Friday.

The 35-year-old striker tested positive for Covid-19 for the first time on October 13, two days after a game against France in Saint-Denis, and had been in quarantine since his return to Italy.

Like Ronaldo, several football stars in Europe have tested positive for Covid-19, in the midst of the pandemic’s resurgence in the Old Continent.
