Bayern Munich player Jamal Musiala opened his scoring record in the Champions League by scoring the net for Lazio, Tuesday evening, in the first leg of the tournament final.

According to the “Squaka” Statistics Network, Musiala became the youngest English player to score in the Champions League, at the age of 17 years and 363 days.

Bayern’s jewel surpassed the previous record of his compatriot Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, the current Liverpool player, who achieved him at the age of 18 years and 44 days.

The Opta Network also reported that Musiala became the second-youngest player to score in the knockout rounds of the European Championship, after Bojan Kricic, who did so with Barcelona at the age of 17 years and 217 days.

The English player also became the youngest player to score for a German team in the history of the Champions League.
