Juventus sacrifices Ronaldo to counter the effects of Corona

Juventus is studying the possibility of selling its Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, next summer, to deal with the financial implications of the emerging coronavirus “Covid-19”.

Ronaldo moved to Juventus from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 for more than 100 million euros. Still, his high salary, which is 5 times that of his colleague Paulo Dybala, is something that makes Juventus seriously consider getting rid of him, knowing that his contract expires in June 2022.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, Ronaldo (35 years) receives 31 million euros. In contrast, his colleague Dybala receives nearly 6 million euros, the second-highest-paid player in the Italian championship.

Ronaldo scored 6 goals in the Italian League championship this season, the last of which was against Lazio in the match that he left with an ankle injury.
