Spanish football will resume group training on Monday after the La Liga has informed the clubs of the progress authorized by the government for phase three, during which it will be allowed to train in groups of up to 10 players.
La Liga has taken a step forward, allowing small group training. A decision in agreement with the Ministry of Health.
All clubs in the championship will be able to resume training in small groups, including Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid or FC Barcelona.
Espanyol Barcelona, Leganes, Getafe and Valladolid, located in the regions hardest hit by the coronavirus, will also be allowed to switch to training in small groups.
According to an official statement by the government on Saturday, professional sports clubs “may carry out full training sessions” while “respecting the corresponding preventive and hygienic measures”.
The statement sets the maximum number at 14 for group training, but the La Liga has informed clubs that the limit will be 10 on Monday.
The La Liga suspended its games for the first time on March 14 and Tebas estimated that the failure of the season would cost the clubs around 1 billion euros.
