Luka Romero, the youngest player in history to make his La Liga debut

The young player of Real Mallorca Luka Romero became Wednesday evening, the youngest player in history to make his Liga debut at 15 years seven months and six days.

Nicknamed the “Mexican Messi”, Romero played his first La Liga minutes against Real Madrid at the Alfredi di Stéfano Stadium as part of match day 31.

He entered the game in the 84th minute in place of Iddrisu Baba in the game that ended in a 2-0 Los Blancos win.

At 15 years and 230 days, Romero broke the record held by Francisco Bao Rodriguez “Sanson” for more than 80 years, he who had made his first steps in La Liga with Celta Vigo on December 31, 1939, at 15 years and 255 days.

Born on November 18, 2004, in Durango, Mexico, Luka Romero has triple Mexican, Argentinian, and Spanish nationality.
