Nurmagomedov sends a scathing message to Macron
The world champion in the sport of mixed martial arts Habib Nurmuhamedov directed a harsh criticism of French President Emmanuel Macron after his anti-Islam statements and his insistence on publishing the cartoons insulting to the Prophet Muhammad. May God bless him and grant him peace.
Through his official account on Instagram, the recently retired Russian Muslim hero posted a picture of Macron, with a message in defense of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, in Russian and Arabic.
Nurmagomedov stressed that “We Muslims love our Messenger and Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, more than our mothers, fathers, sons, and husbands, and of all God Almighty’s creation. Believe me, these provocations will come out of their necks, and the consequence is for the righteous.”
The publication was concluded with the meaning of the Quranic verse in English, “Indeed, those who abuse Allah and His Messenger – Allah has cursed them in this world and the Hereafter and prepared for them a humiliating punishment.”
During the past days, France witnessed the publication of pictures and cartoons on the facades of some buildings insulting to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, which sparked a wave of anger across the Islamic world.
On October 21, the French president said that his country would not abandon the cartoons, which doubled the wave of anger in the Islamic world, and boycott campaigns were launched in some countries for French products and goods.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded harshly to Macron and called on his people to boycott French goods.
