Barcelona star Lionel Messi celebrated winning the “Golden Ball” award as the best player in the world submitted by France Football magazine for the sixth time in his career, leading his team to a major victory over Mallorca 5-2 on Saturday, in the 16th round of the Spanish Football League (Laliga).
Messi scored three goals (17, 40 and 83), while Antoine Griezmann scored (6) and Luis Suarez (43). Ante Bodmer scored Mallorca’s goals (35 and 64).

The Pulga scored 12 goals this season topped the league scorer list, although his first goal was in the eighth round and the season started from the fifth round.

With this trilogy, the “Argentine magician” became the most registered player in the history of the League in the hat-trick with 35 hat-tricks, beating Ronaldo, who owns 34 trilogies.

Barcelona raised its score to 34 points at the top of the competition standings, with a goals difference from the rivals Real Madrid second-placed, while Real Mallorca’s balance was frozen at 14 points in 17th place.
