Paris Saint Germain began the campaign to defend its title of champion of the French League in football by falling to its host Lens 0-1 Thursday in the second stage, affected by the many absences in its ranks as a result of infection with the emerging Corona virus.

The champion missed the opening stage (against Metz) due to his reaching the Champions League final (losing to Bayern Munich), and thus it was his first Thursday match in the league and he lost it as a result of a mistake from his young Polish goalkeeper Marcin Polka in the 57th minute.

The team was affected by the absence of Kylian Mbappe, the Brazilians Neymar and Marquinhos, the Argentines Angel Di Maria, Mauro Ikari, Leandro Paredes and the Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas due to their “Covid-19”.
