Spanish club Real Betis announced its separation from coach Joan Francesc Ferrer Rubi and the appointment of Alexis Trujillo to succeed him until the end of the season.

“The board of directors has decided that Alexis will be the first team coach until the end of the season,” Betis said in a statement on his website.

The club added that “Umberto Alexis Trujillo Auremas played Real Betis shirt over seven seasons during which he played 264 official matches and also led the team in the last two games of the 2016-2017 season.”

Real Betis was defeated by an unanswered goal, yesterday evening Saturday, against Athletic Bilbao by drawing the 30th round of the Spanish League and tied against Granada (2-2) in the last round after losing to Seville with two clean goals after resuming the “League”.

Real Betis are 14th in La Liga with 34 points.

Real Betis took this measure to reduce the continuation of the team’s defeats, and the coach failed to return the team – which was previously a stubborn opponent for bigs teams in Liga 1 – to the track, and thus escape from the last positions leading to the second division within a few weeks of The end of the first division season.
