Real Madrid rose to the top of the Spanish Football League standings after winning a precious two-goal victory over Levante on Sunday in the fifth phase.

The rest of the stage matches that took place today resulted in Deportivo Alaves winning at home to Athletic Bilbao with a clean goal, and Osasuna at home to Celta Vigo 2-0.

Real Madrid (the defending champion) rose to 10 points at the top, a point difference in front of Betis’s closest chasers, knowing that the royal team still has a postponed match.

On the other hand, Levante, who suffered its third loss in the tournament this season in exchange for a single win, stuck at 3 points in 18th.

Brazilian Vinicius Junior opened the scoring for Real (16), and French striker Karim Benzema added the second goal in the 5th minute of calculated time, instead of lost for the second half.

With that result, Real Madrid continued their revival in the championship after achieving its third successive victory in the tournament, replacing its lackluster start, which saw it tied without goals with its host Real Sociedad.
