Brazilian international Carlos Henrique Casemiro and Belgian Real Madrid striker Eden Hazard have tested positive for the new coronavirus, the Madrid club announced on Saturday.

“Our players Eden Hazard and Carlos Casemiro tested positive for the Covid-19 examinations carried out on Friday,” Real Madrid said in a statement.

“All the other players and the technical staff of the first team, as well as all the employees of the club who work directly with them, have tested negative for these same exams,” added the club.

These two players join defender Eder Militao who also tested positive for covid-19 last Tuesday.

The three players will not play in the match between Real Madrid and Valencia on Sunday in the Spanish league.
