Sony entered the drone business with the display of its new Airpeak drone at CES 2021.

The company says its new plane is the smallest step capable of carrying a Sony Alpha camera with a full-frame lens and is designed to create professional video and photographic content.

According to Sony, Airpick is capable of dynamic shooting, precise, and stable flight.

There are very few details on the new drone system at this time, although Sony has said it is exploring the use of drones for landscapes and city shooting.

The exhibit featured a four-propeller design, with two landing gear attachments that retract upward during flight.

The Airpick drone includes a front camera and a distance sensor, and using these technologies with artificial intelligence; it can track the target and avoid obstacles.

Sony Corporation has released an explanatory video of its drone as it carried a Sony A7S III camera and kept pace with the Sony Vision S concept car test drive on the racetrack.

Two 200 kW motors propel the car to 100 km / h in just 4.8 seconds.

The walk uses no less than 40 sensors inside and outside of it and aims to implement the second level of autonomous driving standards, which is the absence of human intervention.

The new aircraft is slated to launch in the spring, and while pricing has yet to be announced, it won’t be cheap, as it targets business users.

“Sony is launching a new business targeting professional photography and video production in the spring of 2021,” the company said in a short statement, which means we should have more information in March or April.

Sony’s statement indicates that Airpick is a new business and a new business, not a standalone product, so the drone featured in the CES 2021 demo is likely the first of a new batch.

It should be noted that the company declared on November 9, 2020 that it has launched a new drone project in the field of artificial intelligence robots and that Irpic supports the creativity of videographers as much as possible, intending to contribute to further development of the entertainment industry, as well as improve efficiency in various industries.
